Who made it.
In September 2000, two Iranian students started on a world tour with nothing but their ordinary bicycles, to carry a message of peace and friendship from the people of Iran to every single human being they would come across, in as many countries as possible.
They gave up the safety and comfort of home to pedal through extreme heat and cold, sleeping in deserts and jungles, with the ever present danger of bandits and wild animals, hazardous roads, and no certain access to clean water or food. Carrying a sign on their bicycles that read AROUND THE WORLD FOR PEACE, they wondered how far they could manage to pedal, and how the message would be received.
